Insurance for Our Members

Peace of mind – no matter your age or experience

All members of Västerbergslagens Skateboard Association are covered by an accident insurance policy through the Swedish Skateboard Association and Folksam. The insurance is valid during organised activities and while travelling to and from training or competitions.

Who is covered?

  • All members of the association
  • Participants in try-it-out sessions
  • Children, youth, and adults – regardless of level

When and where is it valid?

  • Organised training sessions, courses, and events
  • Competitions and demonstrations
  • Travel to/from activities
  • Club activities held in other locations

What does the insurance cover?

Included

  • Emergency compensation: up to 6% of a price base amount (pbb)
  • Dental injuries: up to 1 pbb (with approved treatment)
  • Cut safety helmet: up to SEK 1,500
  • Cut clothing during emergency care: up to 15% of pbb
  • Damaged clothing/glasses: up to 30% of pbb (deductible applies)
  • Medical disability:
    • 1–4%: SEK 3,500
    • 5–74%: based on SEK 350,000
    • 75% or more: based on SEK 700,000
  • Death: SEK 35,000
  • Crisis therapy: up to 10 sessions + travel reimbursement up to SEK 4,000

The price base amount for 2025 is SEK 58,800.

Not included

  • Private activities / recreational skateboarding
  • Injuries outside organised skateboard activities
  • Wear, overuse, or strain injuries
  • Injuries that don’t meet the definition of an accident
  • Injuries without documented treatment by licensed personnel
  • Stays abroad over 45 days without extended coverage
  • Travel without home/sports travel insurance (required for some claims)
  • Medical care in Sweden for non-EU/EEA citizens
  • Injuries caused by intentional criminal acts – no compensation given

Organised Skate Activities Abroad

The insurance is valid for association or federation activities abroad, for up to 45 days per trip.
